Do you enjoy trying new things? Do you embrace change?  How about making a difference in the life of a young person?  Lawrence Hall has a grant funded, time limited position with opportunities for longer term employment.  Convenes and expands on a community coalition to engage service providers, governmental agencies, law enforcement, faith-based and general community members. Convenes quarterly coalition meetings that support the mission of ensuring that service providers and all potential program participants are aware of violence prevention resources available in the community, develop collaborative partnerships, provide pro-social activities in the community and raise awareness of anti-violence efforts. Requires knowledge of trauma exposure, knowledge of the 5 S's of trauma: Safety, Self-Regulation/Soothing, Supportive, Strengths, Self-Care, and an understanding of and recognition of the signs of traumatic stress.  Frequent utilization of personal vehicle for ongoing site visits. Effective use of oral and written communications skills. Use of crisis intervention techniques (both verbal and physical). Physical intervention requires the ability to kneel and return to standing without assistance.  Must have the flexibility to adjust work schedule to the needs of the program.
